  A documentary about the refugees from Tibet living in India, and their spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Monasteries, protests, accounts of witnesses about the atrocities carried out by the occupants, and the thoughts of Dalai Lama.
  In 1949 Tibet was occupied by China. The 1959 Tibetan Uprising was brutally suppressed by the Chinese Army. In Lhasa alone 87 000 Tibetans were killed, while their spiritual leader Dalai Lama fled to India. Currently His Holiness Dalai Lama resides in Dharamshala, India, and heads the Government of Tibet in Exile.
